If you’ve been around English Bay this past week, you probably got to meet Vancouver’s new (temporary) resident: the LED light #LumiereWhale, which was set up in Morton Park as part of the Lumière Festival 2015, running this weekend.

Bringing a little bit of extra light (and lots of happiness) through these dark winter days, the whale has received only positive feedback as far as I’ve heard. It is yet not known if the whale will be allowed to stay in Vancouver after the winter season, but with a current contest asking Vancouverites to name the whale, I kind of hope we’ll be allowed to keep her in the city!
