More Christmas cheer around Vancouver, brought to you by the Lights of Hope display on the facade of St. Paul’s Hospital, one of my favourite, long-standing Christmas traditions in Vancouver. The display is now celebrating its 18th year, and is looking as fabulous as ever.
The yearly #LightsofHope display encourages Vancouver residents to make a donation and help the hospital reach a fundraising target. This is St. Paul’s biggest fundraiser, with a $3 million target this year… and they are well on their way! The display is not only beautiful, bringing Christmas cheer to a busy street, but also a testament that Vancouver is still a place where communities come together towards one common goal. The lights, which take about 6 weeks to put up by over 150 volunteers, are free for everyone to enjoy, but we can all make a donation by visiting their website to show our support. You can check out photos from the #LightsofHope 2012 display here.
